The G&G G980 Full Metal Real Wood Bolt Action Airsoft Rifle is an absolute work of art. Very cool replica WW2 weapon. Mine came looking a little off when I opened the box. It must have got a good bang as it was partially disassembled. I just fit all the pieces and pushed the metal sleeves back into position and all was good. My bolt safety was very tight and I thought it was going to break when trying to use it. I accidentally pulled the trigger when it was on safe and everything locked up. I slightly panicked, but cool heads prevailed and I pulled back the part right below the safe lever and got it free up. I own the CO2 and green gas mags and both my G/G mags leaked. I was able to fix them by taking them apart and cleaning with solvent and lubing everything when reassembling. Make sure the brass button that feeds the gas is poped all the way out before loading the mag or it will leak. Use high quality BBs only. G/G mags contain a regular 8gm cartridge with a hole drilled and a fill valve on the cap.
Pros:
Very realistic replica in every respect.
Cons:
Metal buckle on sling will scratch the gun, so cover it with a soft cloth. Green gas mags leaked and needed internal cleaning to stop leaks. Safety was very stiff when new. Bolt gets sloppy after a few hundred cycles. Bottom plates on mags all come loose and need tightening. You need to align everything before tightening though, or the clip will not come out.
I recently won this out of the airsoft ultimate 2.0 battlestar mystery box and I absolutely love it! The gun itself is incredibly well built and shows no signs of breaking any time soon. The real wood is carved to a perfection and the metal appears to last a very long time. The 8 gram Co2 bulbs are a *little* hard to find in stores but you can just order them online for a relatively good price.
