Blaser R93 LRS1 Tactical Ultra Grade (by King Arms) Airsoft Gun *
[O05A00][10250 / 28757]New to airsoft? Here are some safety tips for airsoft guns that we recommend following.
The Blaser R93 LRS1 Tactical Airsoft Gun is a spring powered, bolt action sniper rifle by King Arms. It is constructed primarily out of light weight Zinc alloy and high density ABS plastic which keep it surprisingly lightweight while still being very durable. The butt pad, and cheek riser are fully adjustable, as is the trail spade, which is similar to a monopod on the stock that greatly improves stability. The integrated scope rail provides ample room for the addition of most any optic, and the revolutionary straight bolt pull system noticeably increases the user's ability for faster bolt manipulation. To top it all off, the gun is fully licensed and trademarked, which really adds to its already impressive exterior appearance.

First thoughts- once receiving the box I was impressed with the packaging. It came with the gun broken down, (assembled very easy, consists of 3 bolts) bipod adapter for a hair mounted bi-pod, speed loader, 50 round mag, and assembly tool. I recommend getting a scope, altho a ACOG would be ideal for this gun, they tend to be more spendy. Overall, if you are to get this gun, you have to be willing to spend more money on upgrades, once upgraded, she shoots straight. I spent around$150 on upgrades but all-in-all I am happy with my Blaser R93
Pros:
FPS with .2 was around 400
ROF is faster then all other bolt actons (straight pull bolt)
Good working safety
50 round mag
Monopod
Free floating barrel increases accuracy
Unique gun
Cons:
I STRONGLY SUGGEST GETTING A NEW METAL APS2 METAL SPRING GUIDE, mine broke within a week of use
Also get a tight bore barrel, the stock one is ok but if if you want the best performance, get the tight bore barrel
Big orange tip
If cheek riser is up too high, you cannot pull back the bolt
Mag is hi cap and jams a lot
Mag doesn't always go in right away
This is, overall, a great gun. I have had mine for about six months now, and the only issues that I've had with it is the magazine release. It's a simple little mechanism, you can take it apart just by removing four screws. Inside is a little sprin an once that weakens it tends to stick when you depress the button to release the magazine. What I love about this gun is the high FPS, ~420 with .25, and the plastic is high quality. Not the kind that when you bend it it turns white, it is the same kind of plastic that you'll find on synthetic stocks for real guns. Per airsoft match I average about ten kills, pretty good considering that these were 5 v 5 matches. One thing to watch though is the hop up. It's designed for a much higher FPS and/or heavier BB's. I found that .25 BB's are just about as low in weight as you can go. Great if you're going to upgrade the spring.
Pros:
-High quality plastics
-Quick tear down and reconstructing
-Good FPS
-High capacity magazine
-All metal barrel
-Straight Pull Bolt
-Licensed
-Crisp trigger pull
Cons:
-Large orange muzzle break
-Cheek rest interefering with working the bolt
-Cheap magazine release
-Rubber coating on the butt rubs off with use
Bought this gun because 1 other guy on the field highly recommended this rifle. I totally agree. After installing a 6.01 it shot 450 FPS with .20g. Shooting any where from .28g to .36g worked well with the R 93. Shots didn't wonder aith these weights. .40 +g, didn't go ant where. Under .28 BBs drifted with any type of breeze. Rifle was custom fitted with sling mounts. I also bought 4 spare mags to utilize the different weights for different ranges. With the 6.01 it shot better than the standard barrel, for obvious reasons. Still at 450 FPS 250 foot shots were doable . I liked the feel of the rifle. The double action bolt is amazing. I can keep my eye on the target and get a shot off every 1.5 seconds because the bolt action doesn't disturb my aiming through the 6X14X40 scope. = A lot more accurate shooting, better than many LMGs because of the accuracy at range. A suppression role by the sniper? Oh yes it dose.
I cured the chin pad interference by some grinding and the bolt zips . This bolt action, zipping, because of the double action ( pull it back and then forward, 2 actions not 4!!!) that I attained from this rifle was even better than expected. Rapid fire sniper bolt action is the only action after you have had the Blaser.
Should have purchased a tri pod at the same time. My bad.
Over all accuracy and confidence in my gun's ability to lay down accurate fire makes me feel good.
Pros:
Good accuracy
Fast shooting with this unique double action system
50 round clip
Easy sighting
Reliable action
Confidence inspiring
Great balance
Quick field strip if needed
Cons:
Plastic mags, should be metal
Loose fitting mags
Teething problem during the break in process, cleared up after 5th shooting session
Should have been sold with tri pod

What type of sniper rifle parts are the R93 internals compatible with? APS-2, etc? Or, are these all proprietary KA parts?

You can get KA upgrade parts for it, as far as I know. It does however have AEG hop up bucking and barrel, so, easy upgrades there as far as the barrel goes.

Staff Answer:
400-420 with .20g. .20g will give you the most range, however, ASGI recommends BB's .28g or heavier for the most accuracy. 3931 days ago 0
