I have owned the CM045A for several years now, and it has been a great little shooter. It isn't as accurate as some other AEG's I have used in the past, but it does well enough as a mid-range/CQB rifle. Due to its small size, the CM045A is a pleasure to use when running and gunning in a closed in or obstructed environment. The main negatives I have found both involve the battery-hatch area of the gun. Firstly, the rear iron sight is welded on at an angle, rendering the sights unusable. I understand that this is a common factory error on this model. The second issue is the spring pin that keeps the battery hatch closed popped loose during a game. I now have to keep it shut with an industrial rubber band.
Pros:
Feels great and has a nice balance.
A reliable shooter.
Great battery life.
Compact design.
Cons:
If target is over 80-100ft away, accuracy becomes an issue.
The rear sight is welded on off-canter. Makes iron sights useless.
Shoddy battery hatch button
This was my first real gun. I got it when it was cyber monday so it was about 90$ Awesome gun, made for cqbish. Use .25's with it and the accuracy is ok.
Pros:
Nice feel
All metal
Real wood
Cons:
Accuracy for medium range.
Iron sights are not zeroed in and no way to adjust it side to side.
Gun shoots a little left but you get used to it.
The gun I ordered (CM.045A) shoots to the right a bit rendering the sights useless.
Additionally when I fire full auto the dust cover always pops off and it makes a strange smell when I shoot it.
It feels really nice in the hands, the real wood looks great and the folding stock is very sturdy
Pros:
Looks great
Feels Great
Real wood
Sturdy Stock
Cons:
Weird Smell when shooting
Shoots to the right
Dust cover pops off when firing
