Description:
KWA is a well known airsoft manufacturer that has been creating high quality airsoft guns for some time. The KWA Full Metal M16 is astounding! At first glance it looks just like any other M16, but once the gun is plugged into a lithium polymer battery pack it becomes a whole new machine. KWA is traditionally known for their M series gas blow back pistols, then they came out with their G36 and it was ok; but now their latest AEG has completely blown away the staff here at Airsoft GI. On the outside it looks like another M16, but on the inside is where you see the brilliance of the engineering. The trigger switch is made of good quality plastic and the wires are carefully soldered to the connectors. The reinforced sector and bevel gears spin very freely on the 9mm ball bearings. The piston is also reinforced on the back teeth, as is the front of the version 2 gearbox. The overall quality of the rest of that parts is fantastic. KWA claimed to be making an AEG that is LiPo ready and they have surely done it.

Product Information:
If you're looking for the one rifle that is designed for consistent epic performance out of the box - this is it. By the time I wised up to buying a KWA I had already bought 3 other AEGs - 1 SRC, and 2 full metal top of the line G&G AEGs. Don't get me wrong, those are all fine AEGs and I still use them, but if I want to go out and play hard I pick up my KWA.
Pros:
- Accuracy is unbelievable. Extremely consistent shooting, drilling that same spot over and over at ranges of 150 ft easily. You know those times when you can just see a little bit of your target, and you know that if your BBs are just a little off in their flight your target will move and you'll lose the shot? For me this gun has been 3/3 on those shots. 1st shot kills every time.
- Price. For this quality of a gun, $280 is amazing.
- Sounds so smooth. The gear box has just a smooth quiet sound to it (I run an 9.6 in it).
- I can't stress this enough - this gun was engineered to kill. Thats it. No frills, just kills.
Cons:
There have no been no real cons to this gun. It doesn't like some of my high caps (G&Gs) but I run mid caps anyways. It doesn't have rails, but you know what you're getting when you get it.

well this gun is built a really solid I got it because I wanted a good DMR to build off of and this one was said to be one of the best now when I got it it felt really good it had a nice weight and nothing on it was loose but my problem was the Hop up it was horrible with zero hop up on it would only travel about 30 feet before it hit the ground which that is horrible for a KWA and my delta ring was broken I could not pull it back now I understand this is probably just a defective gun that I got ...I called Airsoft GI and told him about my problem they gave me the number for KWA the customer service at kwa was so amazing some of the nicest people I have ever met...I ended up not sending the gun back strictly because they were going to replace parts that I was going to put better ones in ..I put a 600mm precision inner barrel with a 5-inch suppressor Anel my accuracy is amazing at 200 feet the spread is about 12 inches at most

My personal opinions of this rifle are that it is a true to scale AR15/M16 replica. Right down to the weight.
It weighs around 7.1 pounds out of box which is very close to the real weight of a DMR type AR15. the controls are intuitive and very easy to learn if you know just the basics of AR operation and to top it off KWA was so kind as to give us a functional dust cover and charging handle which pulls the cover back to reveal the hop up controls which is satisfying whether just running drills or out in the field.
Pros:
Solid build

Very ergonomic
Great for mid to long range engagements

Cons:
Weight this could go both ways but if you like you guns to be fast into action this AEG is not going to do that
Long barrel goes both ways, this rifle does not do well in urban engagements its' size puts it squarely in the forest and field category.
Sight aperture is sometimes too small to allow sufficient light. The long range sight is drilled too small to allow enought light in to get a clear sight picture. This is an easy fix though and if you go with an optic then any BUIS (Magpul MBUS is great for it) will serve you well.

FPS Reduction
What spring do I need to put in this to reduce the FPS to around 360 with .25g BBs, I am signing up for a Milsim operation and the FPS limit is as previously stated... I don't want to show up and not be able to play because my gun shoots too hot

maybe but it's going to be hard you're going to have to change out the outer barrel because the front part of the hand guard is shaped like a triangle so is the metal part that receives it

I use the Tenergy 8.4v 3800mAh NiMH Large Battery, and the Valken Energy Universal Smart Charger ( 6v - 12v ) with this gun and they both work great! That battery is huge (still fits in the stock) so it will last you all day.
